Hershey Park is continuing to deliver on a successful 2017 season with the debut of the new triple tower attraction this year. Park guests had the opportunity to choose their thrill on the first of its kind triple tower attraction. The park has now shifted focus to what will deliver on a successful 2018 season. Many clues were given on social media and many guesses were focused on a water park expansion. After many months of hype and excitement the park made plans to share with the world their 2018 plans.
Breakers Edge Water Coaster will debut as the park’s 14th coaster. The new attraction will rocket riders through splash-filled hills, tight turns, and thrills that will be sweet for the whole family. The new water coaster will feature a First HydroMagnetic system with flying saucer turns throughout the ride. Linear Induction Motors (LIM) will propel In-line rafts of 4 riders through a smooth ride experience. Breakers Edge Water Coaster will debut as a first of its kind when it opens in 2018.
WhiteCap Racer is another addition being added in 2018. Riders will experience the longest mat racing slide in the world when it debuts. You will race through turns and tunnels to see who can best the crest at the end. Features will include: 2 sets of looping tunnels (only Mat Racer in the world to feature), 6 colorful racing lanes, competition-inducing slider timing system. Whitecap Racer will thrill riders as you will challenge each other on the world’s longest mat racer in 2018.
