Six Flags Over Georgia has opened up the new Metropolis Park to news organizations and select VIPs this past week. The park has been preparing Justice League for months and the anticipation has finally paid off. Representatives from Six Flags were available to talk with us about the new ride and what it means to Six Flags Over Georgia and the overall Six Flags brand.
Riders board one of 6-passenger vehicles equipped each with your own personal zapper. The ride circles through as you come upon The Joker blasting green smoke at you that causes an explosion. You can continue to accumulate points by zapping either the lex bots or the orange henchmen. There are many secrets throughout the ride to increase your points. As the Justice League characters are awaiting for you to set them free, Lex Luthor and The Joker continue to wreak havoc on Metropolis. The conclusion of the ride features the Justice League characters (Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash) inviting you to become honorary members. The scores are shown above and The Joker has one last trick to blast the highest scorer with some laughing gas. Riders are also given 3D glasses to enjoy all the effects of the experience.
