Twisted Timbers was announced on August 16, 2017 on National Roller Coaster Day. The park held a press conference that morning and announced the new attraction in addition to Winterfest to debut in 2018. As the park wraps up the 2017 season with the final weekend of Halloween Haunt, construction crews from Rocky Mountain Construction are hard at work continuing to construct track pieces. Most of the steel frames are in place and the work has now shifted to installing the hybrid steel track.

Twisted Timbers will take riders up to a height of 111 feet before inverting you through a 109 foot barrel roll first drop. The ride will then deliver 20 airtime moments including 2 more inversions. The ride is themed to an abandoned apple orchard known as Hanover Hills and will deliver to park guests in spring of 2018. As progress on the ride continues, park guests will continue to see on social media the many changes that will take place throughout the former ride site of Hurler. In addition, you can purchase your 2018 season pass and enjoy unlimited visits including rides on Twisted Timbers. The park will also debut Winterfest in 2018, a new Christmas event. As construction continues throughout the winter months, there will be many updates available and track completion is expected very soon. Please continue to follow Kings Dominion on social media for the latest updates.
