A new interactive feature set to debut this season is “The Battle for Kings Dominion”. This new interactive smart phone app will be similar to that of which Cedar Point debuted during the 2016 season. Park guests will compete against each other using characters named from select rides, and will compete on their smart phones to take reign of the park. The new interactive feature will have more information available soon. The park has also announced recently during an event hosted by American Coaster Enthusiasts that “Taste of Virginia” will make an official debut during the season. This new event will showcase many foods from around the state of Virginia. In addition, there will be beverages available for purchase and other activities available to participate in. Samplings at this event are available for an additional fee.

Crews are continuing to move forward on construction of the Planet Snoopy additions. The new event space and new rides are expected to debut when the park opens for the season on March 25, 2017. The new rides set to debut in Planet Snoopy are: Peanuts 500, Sally Sea Plane, Kite Eating Tree. The current construction photo shared by the park shows crews moving around a lot of dirt and placing all the necessary materials for the additions. Guests will be able to enjoy Free WiFi, and a new show experience Origins – A Cirque Experience. Dining plans will include Chick-Fila and Panda Express.

The 2017 season will be another exciting season for Kings Dominion. A Season Pass is the best option available if you plan to visit the park. Single day tickets are also available for purchase on the Kings Dominion website.
