Weddings are a big business for the local economy. Wedding vows exchanged on a ride at an amusement park is an even bigger boost to the many park guests that are there to witness the events unfold. For one lucky couple from Mount Airy, NC, those dreams became true. Fury 325, the world’s tallest and fastest giga coaster, was host to the dream wedding for James Music and Cortni Bryant. The couple had their first official date at Carowinds last spring.
There are a lot of different events happening at Carowinds this summer. The park is gearing up for the return of Bands, Brews & BBQ. This year will be much bigger and the options available will be amazing. “We’re so pleased to bring back Bands, Brews and BBQs for another year at the park,” says Kris Suita, Carowinds executive chef. “We’ve brought together three favorites under one roof- food, brew and music. Mix that with world-class rides and attractions, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for fun.”
The Carolinas are looking forward to the future of Carowinds and closing out the 2016 season comes the best news. Carowinds is teasing for Mayor Higginbotham is campaigning for four more years. The teasers are continuing each week and is giving park guests the opportunity to receive more information about the election. Each Wednesday, you can call 704-943-2802 to receive updates regarding the campaign. As Carowinds continues to grow on the success of Fury 325 in 2015 and Carolina Harbor in 2016, the options will continue to bring in park guests to have the best summer ever.
