Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio recently announced that Power Surge would be closing to make way for future expansion. The successful DC Comics franchise with the Six Flags brand has been very popular in other parks with recent additions of Justice League: Battle for Metropolis and The Joker. The 2018 season is on the horizon and many parks are gearing up to make their announcements later this year. Six Flags Fiesta Texas has decided to get a head start on the 2018 announcements by introducing that the world’s first single rail roller coaster will debut.

Wonder Woman Golden Lasso Coaster will be coming to the park in 2018. The new attraction will be a world’s first as riders will ascend up a single rail track only 15 1/2 inches in width. Riders will then plummet down a 90 degree first drop into a series of maneuvers featuring: 2 airtime hills, overbanked wave turn, zero-g roll, and overbanked turns. As guests enter the ride queue they will be greeted by Wonder Woman and fully immersed into her story. Guests will be surrounded by tropical landscaping, Greek architecture, and even Steve Trevor’s crashed plane while waiting to board one of three trains.

Continuing that tradition, Wonder Woman™ Golden Lasso Coaster joins her fellow DC Super Heroes as the first-ever single rail streamline designed coaster,” says Jeffrey Siebert, Park President.
